The Dawson Collection of Miniature Books Printed Before 1901
Louis Bondy, the famed English dealer in miniature books stated with accuracy that "Dawson's Book Shop is one of the American Meccas for Miniature Book Collectors." The Dawsons, Glen and wife Mary Helen and Muir and wife Agnes, were active in selling miniatures and the shop issued 161 Miniature Book Lists from 1962 to 1988. Additionally 92 + titles were published and sold by the book shop. Glen is retired and still active in his 90's. Mary Helen passed away in 2002 and Glen published a miniature in 2004, Sayings of Mary Helen Dawson 1918-2002, the most memorable perhaps being: "Glen, I don't believe in divorce. I have never ever thought of divorce, but I have considered murder." We are honored to offer books dated before 1901 from Mary Helen's collection.
